More people tell me that this song makes them cry when I sing it than any other.
I guess as someone who sings about workers and their life and struggles it was inevitable that I’d sing this song about working horses. I’ve always loved the Muckle Horses – there are a couple at Ambury farm near where I live and they are such gentle giants.
